What are your design suggestions?
SIMPLICITY:
Keep it simple. Always remember that you are trying to get someone's attention and the more clutter on your sign will create smaller text and also information overload.

COLORS:
Use contrasting colors to help your sign "pop". Examples are Black text on a White background. Colors that are close in value are harder to distinguish, e.g. Yellow and White.

EFFECTS:
Use shadows and outlines around text to give some words more weight than others. The more contrasting the colors, the more they stand out.

GRAPHICS:
Use a variety of graphics from our clip art library to not only enhance your message but to grab attention. You can also use your own images in the form of a jpeg or png file.

SIGN COVERAGE:
Be sure to leave at least 30% of the sign empty of text or graphics. This will help you avoid too much clutter. Being able to see a good portion of a sign background is very important.

OPTIMUM LETTER SIZING:
A good rule of thumb in determining letter or graphic size is that for every inch in height assume an optimal viewing distance of one foot. Ex. If you use a letter 3" in height, you should be able to view it 3' away.
How do I know if I have a good image to use?
We usually recommend an image having a minimum of 150 DPI at 'full native size'. The file size is usually between 6-12 mb.
What does 'full native size' mean?
This is the original image file created at the size required. We recommend a minimum of 150 DPI. If the original file at full size was not created at a 150 DPI minimum then it will not meet our minimum standards.
How can I determine my DPI (Dots per Inch)?
You can check your DPI in a program such as Adobe Photoshop. Make sure that the image is to size and that it is a native file. You might want to consult someone with professional graphic design experience for more help.
Are my image colors going to match the final product?
Please note that color variation is common industry-wide due to monitor color calibration. Although the finished product usually comes very close, we do not guarantee the final result.
What operating systems and browsers does the Sign DesignerTM work with?
Currently the Sign DesignerTM works with all versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

What is the durability of your signs?
We realize that signs should be durable and  pride ourselves on using high quality materials for the production of your sign(s).  All of our signs and decals are made with UV inks rated to last a minimum of 1 to 3 years with some lasting over 10 years. Which materials should I choose?
Vinyl Banners: This product is the most cost effective way to produce larger signs. Vinyl lasts for years indoor and depending on the weather, can last up to 5 years outdoors. PVC: Provides smooth finish for interior signage where quality of display is important. Commonly used indoors for wall displays, easels, prints, and point of sale. Corrugated: Least expensive and most lightweight sign type for indoor/outdoor use for getting out the message within a budget. These signs are especially popular for short-term advertising, real estate, and political branding. Common accessories include ‘H-stakes.

Aluminum: Our most durable sign and recommended for outdoor use. Add a Laminate to increase durability to a minimum of 2 years. Popular uses: parking, construction, real estate, manufacturing or just about anywhere you would like to have a durable outdoors sign.
